Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple guests efficiently
  • Knowledge of food service and buffet operations is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Basic computer skills for seating and reservation systems

Job Duties

  • Greets guests as they enter the restaurant and offers a sincere, personal invitation to return as the guests leave
  • Offers assistance to any guests who may need help
  • Friendly and courteous on the phone
  • Seats guests in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Follows seating protocol and gives buffet instructions to guests
  • Knows and follows position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery
  • Knows what is on buffet for the day and has a full knowledge of menu and prices
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness at the vestibule, host station and surrounding areas
  • May help ensure the buffet is set up properly and labels are correct
  • Follows local health department laws
  • Performs duty roster and ensures cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met
