Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand throughout a full shift
Ability to bend and reach while carrying to-go orders
Visual acuity to review menus, take orders and navigate the dining area
Compliance with health department rules and regulations
Ability to attend work and meetings as scheduled
Well-kept personal hygiene
Always smiling and enthusiastic attitude

Job Qualifications

Experience in food or retail service or formal hospitality training of at least two years
Ability to operate point of sale (POS) systems
Strong communication skills with guests and team members
Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions and menu items
Professional appearance and demeanor

Job Duties

Greet guests as they arrive and leave in a professional and enthusiastic manner
Acknowledge all guests entering the facilities
Answer questions guests may have upon arrival
Let guests know who their server will be
Take orders by phone accurately
Answer the phone with an energetic greeting mentioning the restaurant, your name and how you can assist
Take guests to their seats with menus and utensils
Assemble and verify to-go orders properly
Have guests verify their to-go orders at pick-up
Communicate to-go orders to kitchen staff when needed
Train new host/hostesses
Assist other team members
Help clear and clean tables as needed
Instruct bussers, management and/or waiters about areas that need attention for proper dining experience
Instruct dining room personnel when new guests arrive and if there are specific needs
Ensure prerequisites are met for guests with particular needs or requests
Work with other team members to assure a great dining experience for guests
Restock to-go area when needed
Clean host/hostess stand and surrounding area routinely
