Job Requirements

- previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred

Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically immediately upon entrance to the restaurant
- open doors for customers whenever possible
- make guests feel welcome with a smile and sincerity
- keep track of the wait list and quote wait times accurately
- be aware of the progress of tables in the dining room and make sure tables are being greeted promptly upon seating
- engage in conversation with customers while escorting them to their table
- maintain cleanliness in the lobby and an organized host stand
- keep track of the rotation sheet and how many tables each server has to ensure customers are getting excellent service
- communicate and work well with other hosts
- restock guest restrooms and keep them spotless
- help clean dirty tables when needed
- thank the customers as they leave and invite them back
- answer the phone on the first ring according to Stix procedure and use a pleasant tone of voice
- be able to answer guests' questions regarding restaurant menu, policies, directions, etc
- take to go orders or help the to go servers as needed
- help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures
- complete opening, running, and closing side-work as well as daily cleaning duties
