Job Requirements

  • Poised, polished and impeccably presented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A natural connector with strong emotional intelligence and presence
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both co-workers and guests
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced, team environment
  • Have a current AZ Food Handler's/Servesafe card or ability to obtain

Job Qualifications

  • Host/maitre'd experience at a high-volume, upscale restaurant preferred but willing to train the right person
  • Strong knowledge of reservation and guest management systems (experience with SevenRooms a plus)
  • Polished communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests
  • Calm and professional demeanor under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for hospitality and a natural ability to anticipate guest needs
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Welcome every guest with grace and professionalism, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience
  • Oversee reservations and guest flow, ensuring efficient and balanced seating for optimal service
  • Anticipate guest needs and manage VIP experiences with discretion and care
  • Serve as a communication hub between front-of-house and back-of-house to maintain smooth operations
  • Support the other hosts, modeling elevated service standards at all times
  • Handle guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and swift resolution
  • Uphold an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality consistent with Pinyon's coastal Mediterranean spirit
