- Six months' experience in retail or food service
- high school diploma preferred
- verbal and written communication skills
- ability to read, speak, and understand English
- experience in customer service problem resolution
- basic math skills for cash handling
- food handler's permit as required
- brand certification as needed
- physical ability to stand and work for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Six months' experience working in retail or food service environment
- high school diploma preferred
- verbal and written communication skills
- ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
- experience in dealing with problems involving customer service
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
- food handler's permit as required by law
- brand certification, as required
- ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
- ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time
Job Duties
- Greet all guests in a courteous and professional manner and escort them to their table
- seat guests and maintain organization and flow in restaurant (rotating tables assigned by server)
- assist guests with children and special needs, as required
- present menus, answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food and service
- inform servers and management of special needs and/or potential problems with guests
- clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course
- ensure complete guest satisfaction
- thank guests for their patronage upon exiting the restaurant
- other duties as assigned
