- be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- ability to safely lift and maneuver trays weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests enthusiastically with a warm friendly smile
- comply with standard grooming and dress code policies
- develop personal relationships with guests and ensure a positive and memorable experience
- polish and prepare silverware used in service
- check tables for clean and proper set up before seating guests
- conform to acceptable attendance and punctuality standards
- report unsatisfactory customer experiences to restaurant manager
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- learn the menu to make genuine recommendations
- answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions
- encourage guests to attend future events and promotions
- perform side work at the start and end of each shift
- maintain clean service areas
- assist fellow servers as needed
- thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed
