Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- excellent verbal communication skills
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to multitask in a busy environment
- friendly and approachable demeanor
- basic knowledge of restaurant operations preferred

- previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and warmly with guests and team members
- strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
- familiarity with electronic seating systems is a plus

Job Duties
- Warmly greets and seats guests
- creates regulars by interacting with guests throughout their dining experience
- takes guest information and provides accurate wait quote when tables are not immediately available
- interacts with waiting guests, including children, to ensure a pleasant wait
- provides alternatives to waiting areas such as bench or bar seating
- runs electronic seating system to maintain server rotation
- presents menus to guests, informs them of specials, and introduces servers by name
- informs servers when seated
- communicates with managers about business fluctuations
- observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables
- pre-bus and bus tables as needed
- informs bussers of dirty tables
- takes drink or appetizer orders as needed
- maintains filled water and tea pitchers
- regularly tours restaurant to interact with guests and provide refills
- attends to guest needs that servers may have missed
- cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host stand
- maintains supply of kid's menus and crayons
- answers phone questions about menu and restaurant
- takes and fills to-go orders if applicable
- directs to-go guests to appropriate sections
- maintains clean restrooms checking every fifteen minutes
- sweeps front area frequently
- creates friendly welcome for job applicants
- maintains supply of applications and hiring paperwork
- informs management about waiting applicants and appointments
- holds door for departing guests and thanks them warmly
