Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of hosting experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs, and stooping
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage reservation systems and guest interactions efficiently

Job Duties
- Ensure all stations are properly stocked and set up before and during service and complete any additional opening duties
- Manage all aspects of reservation systems including confirmation messages, checking in guests, special requests and celebrations, table plotting, updating floorplans
- Lead guests to tables and follow Hogsalt standards for seating, distributing menus, and creating a great first impression at the table
- Anticipate the needs of guests and provide consistent, genuine, and generous service
- create personal connections and use names whenever possible
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining room throughout service, including proper maintenance of all menus and other supplies
- Provide a warm welcome to each guest who enters the restaurant and acknowledge their departure at the end of their experience
- Address any guest needs or concerns as soon as possible
- communicate any complaints or issues with food or service to leadership
- Complete all closing duties including closing sidework, general cleaning projects, and any additional tasks assigned by leadership
- Ensure all Hogsalt Steps Of Service not listed above are properly executed
