Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
  • ability to use reservation management software
  • excellent communication skills

  • ability to stand for extended periods

  • flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet and make all guests feel welcomed as they enter the restaurant
  • using Open Table, manage seating arrangements for all bookings and walk-ins
  • offer guests who are waiting drinks from the bar and promote marketing materials
  • ensure guest satisfaction by responding to guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude
  • inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials
  • guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any needed assistance
  • seat guests by finding a clean, available table
  • pulling out chairs
  • placing clean/current menu in front of guest
  • move and arrange tables, chairs and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs
  • ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting
  • monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests
