Job Requirements

- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Must be friendly and approachable
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Knowledge of basic food safety

Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically immediately upon entrance to the restaurant
- Open doors for customers whenever possible
- Make guests feel welcome with a smile and sincerity
- Keep track of the wait list and quote wait times accurately
- Be aware of the progress of tables in the dining room and make sure tables are being greeted promptly upon seating
- Engage in conversation with customers while escorting them to their table
- Maintain cleanliness in the lobby and an organized host stand
- Keep track of the rotation sheet and how many tables each server has to ensure customers are getting excellent service
- Communicate and work well with other hosts
- Restock guest restrooms and keep them spotless
- Help clean dirty tables when needed
- Thank the customers as they leave and invite them back
- Answer the phone on the first ring according to Stix procedure and use a pleasant tone of voice
- Be able to answer guests' questions regarding restaurant menu, policies, directions, etc
- Take to go orders or help the to go servers as needed
- Help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures
- Complete opening, running, and closing side-work as well as daily cleaning duties
