Job Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively verbally
Must be able to read, write, and calculate wait times
Ability to visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Availability to work nights and weekends
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

Job Duties

Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests and inform them of special menu items
Treat guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
Run the floor plan board
Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables
Take guest information for waiting list and quote wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
Clean, organize, and stock menus at host area
Answer phone and questions concerning the menu, to go orders and the restaurant
Fill takeout orders
Interact with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experience
Maintain restrooms throughout shift
Perform other duties as assigned
