Job Duties

  • assist in the training and development of new team members
  • cooperate, communicate, and work as part of a team
  • accept and facilitate to-go orders via phone or online ordering and ensure timely execution
  • handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • ensure all reservations, telephone, waiting list, and take-out procedures are followed
  • maintain a professional image and proper uniform standards
  • monitor responsible selling and service of alcohol and report concerns
  • maintain frequent guest contact and high visibility in the dining room
  • ensure guests are attended to and served according to high standards
  • involve management immediately to resolve negative guest experiences
  • manage the smooth and even flow of the dining room
  • thank every guest sincerely for their patronage
  • maintain a high level of food and beverage knowledge
  • ensure menu items are prepared according to standards
  • use standard recipes and methods consistently
  • stay informed about ongoing and upcoming promotions and assist with implementation
  • uphold cleanliness of the restaurant inside and outside according to health department standards
  • practice food safety including controlling time and temperature, personal hygiene, and preventing cross-contamination
  • follow cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain a safe dining environment
