Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrated leadership, fairness and sensibility to customers and employees
  • Ability to instill pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees
  • Ability to interact well with customers and employees
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment
  • Ability to stand, walk and move through all areas of Food and Beverage department and casino for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in an environment where smoking is permitted

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Four years of experience with two years in food and beverage
  • Minimum two years of Food and Beverage supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of all phases of full service dining
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, team building and problem solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise all Food and Beverage operations and Facilities/EVS, Kitchen and Stewarding functions when the Hospitality Manager is absent
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, filing, personnel maintenance and HR issues for Food and Beverage and Facilities/EVS departments
  • Evaluate staff performance on a 90-day and annual basis
  • Conduct regular cover count, check average, food and beverage costs, and projection analysis to maximize profitability
  • Implement Food and Beverage and Facilities/EVS policies and procedures
  • Assist with hiring, training, recognition, coaching, terminations, and other personnel-related issues
  • Communicate regularly with management and employees about all casino and Food and Beverage activities and events
  • Advise the Hospitality Manager of daily problems and needs to maximize profits
  • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, Serve Safe, TIPS certification, and liquor law requirements
  • Settle disputes with customers, employees and supervisors
  • Cooperate with Seneca Gaming Authority for compliance
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional work environment
  • Meet attendance guidelines and complete all required SGC training programs
  • Attend all necessary meetings
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations may change as needed
  • Work hours are based on a 24-hour schedule
