Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or Business Administration with emphasis on sales
- three to five years of sales and business development experience in hospitality industry
- strong understanding of hospitality sales and market trends
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- effective negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- motivated and results-driven
- good organizational and time management skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- clear communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- knowledge of Raisers Edge and Financial Edge preferred
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration with an emphasis on sales or related field
- minimum three to five years of experience in sales and business development within the hospitality industry

Job Duties
- Identify and develop potential social and corporate clients through networking, cold calling, participation in industry events and trade shows, communication with interdepartmental colleagues, market research, and other sales techniques
- high-volume sales for hospitality events and programming for ArtsQuest campuses, venues, and programming
- develop and implement comprehensive sales plans aligned with business objectives in collaboration with Senior Director of Hospitality
- meet regularly with internal departments to discuss add-on event services
- collaborate with hospitality team and Food & Beverage service partner to develop and deliver persuasive client proposals
- build and maintain strong client relationships including corporate accounts and event planners
- analyze market trends and competitor pricing to develop pricing strategies
- prepare annual catering budget and quarterly forecasts with Senior Director of Hospitality
- prepare accurate and timely sales reports analyzing performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement
- negotiate contract terms with clients ensuring compliance with legal and insurance requirements
- manage and mentor Hospitality Specialist providing guidance on sales techniques and customer service
- communicate contract terms and event details clearly to clients and internal teams
- set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and implement development plans for team members
- foster a positive work environment with team spirit, recognition, and engagement
- address team issues professionally and timely, fostering collaboration
- guide the team through organizational changes and process updates
