Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant hospitality sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Capable of sitting, standing, talking, and hearing frequently during work hours
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years hospitality sales experience, preferably in extended stay
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees, and third parties professionally
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret management reports and paperwork
  • Proficient in basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances
  • Effective problem-solving, reasoning, motivational, organizational, and training abilities
  • Ability to travel extensively for workshops, tradeshows, and conventions
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Manage new hotel sales opening strategy that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives in exceeding budgetary goals
  • Quickly engage with underperforming markets and at-risk segments
  • Respond to all sales inquiries - written, verbal, email, and phone - with sense of urgency
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets
  • Prospect, qualify, and close high-value accounts through proactive outreach
  • Nurture and grow existing client relationships to maximize repeat business
  • Develop customized proposals and packages to meet client needs
