- ability to respond immediately to discharge room cleaning requests
- high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- relevant experience considered in lieu of diploma or GED
Job Duties
- clean restrooms
- remove trash
- dusting
- damp wiping
- spot cleaning
- spot mopping
- pick up dry and wet spills
- sweeping
- vacuuming
- clean mirrors and glass
- making beds
- polish furniture and metal
- replenish paper, soap and plastic supplies
- daily cleaning of ancillary areas including office space, waiting areas and outside buildings
- clean high-volume areas two to three times daily, especially bathrooms and emergency room
- perform daily room cleaning and discharge room cleaning following ten-step process
- terminal cleaning for patient precaution rooms
- perform floor care duties such as dust-mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet bonneting, and floor refinishing
- respond to EPIC system tasks and update status via phone
- remove, cover and wash trash containers as designated
- complete other duties and projects as assigned
- adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
