Job Requirements
- High school diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), or equivalent training
- Previous cleaning or manual labor experience preferred
- Ability to perform routine manual cleaning tasks
- Willingness to follow detailed cleaning procedures including terminal cleaning
- Ability to use communication systems such as EPIC and phone
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and lifting
- Availability to work varied shifts including possible evenings, nights, or weekends as required
Job Qualifications
- Such training and experience gained through training schools or some experience in cleaning or manual labor
- Ability and willingness to deliver exceptional job performance
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred but related experience considered
- Good communication skills and ability to use phone and EPIC system for task updates
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and maintain safety standards
- Must be dependable and able to work flexible shifts as needed
Job Duties
- Daily cleaning of one or more ancillary areas including office space, waiting areas, and outside buildings
- Perform daily cleaning and discharge room cleaning following a 10-step process
- Respond promptly to cleaning tasks received through the EPIC system and communicate task status updates
- Dust-mop, sweep, vacuum, bonnet carpets, strip, and refinish floors as part of floor care duties
- Remove, cover, and wash trash containers as designated by the Team Leader
- Clean restrooms, remove trash, dust, spot clean, mop, pick up spills, clean mirrors and glass, make beds, polish furniture and replenish supplies
- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior at Hackensack Meridian Health
