Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of continuous operations management experience in hospitality
- experience managing a team of 10 or more employees
- ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and event-related shifts
- strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development
- commitment to maintaining integrity and quality service standards
Job Qualifications
- Operations management experience in hospitality including hotels, tourism, event management, or restaurants
- proven leadership with a minimum of 5 continuous years managing staff
- experience supervising teams of 10 or more
- strong problem-solving skills with innovative mindset
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
- commitment to integrity and quality assurance
- flexible and adaptable to varied schedules including event seasons
Job Duties
- Represent the Block by Block culture and mission
- coordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of Ambassadors
- adjust deployment of resources to meet daily operational needs
- identify and solve problems to improve program quality
- manage procurement and inventory of supplies and equipment
- report outcomes using app-based systems, spreadsheets, and timekeeping software
- provide hands-on management including coaching and mentoring in the field
