Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years operations experience at a winery or related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Responsible Beverage Service Certificate required
- Forklift and electric pallet jack certified
- Clean driving record and valid CA driver’s license
- Must be able to work some evenings, on weekends and holidays
- Must be 21 years of age
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years operations experience at a winery or related field
- 3-5 years combined experience in tasting room, winemaking or hospitality preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Responsible Beverage Service Certificate required
- Forklift and electric pallet jack certified
- Professional wine certification a plus (Sommelier, CSW, WSET)
- Clean driving record and valid CA driver’s license
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with problem-solving ability
- Able to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in retail software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 21 years of age to serve and taste wine
Job Duties
- Assigns daily tasks and monitors team output to meet production requirements
- Leads by example fostering a strong work ethic and respect
- Guides team on asset and resource use to prevent waste
- Provides immediate feedback to maintain productivity
- Informs supervisor of staffing needs
- Ensures a safe and healthy work environment with training
- Supports company change initiatives
- Communicates employee issues confidentially
- Maintains regulatory and company compliance
- Trains employees and manages performance documentation
- Manages supply and inventory including ordering and audits
- Operates pallet jack and forklift
- Reconciles inventory variances and compliance documentation
- Oversees warehouse transfers and order fulfillment
- Reconciles POS transactions and processes donations
- Manages employee wine sales and orders
- Coordinates new product setup in POS systems
- Collaborates on wine offerings and promotional features
- Tracks and reports promotional effectiveness
- Assists customer service and serves as Manager on Duty
- Provides wine education and safety training
