Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • certification as Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
  • minimum 2 years supervisory experience in food service
  • knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety
  • ability to manage budgets and inventory
  • strong communication skills
  • leadership capability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • degree in nutrition, hospitality, or food service preferred
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in food service, preferably healthcare
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets, regulatory standards, and food safety
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Manage meal preparation, service, and sanitation
  • ensure compliance with therapeutic diets and RD-approved menus
  • Supervise, schedule, and train dietary staff
  • foster teamwork and service excellence
  • Maintain compliance with CMS, HACCP, and state/federal regulations
  • participate in audits and quality initiatives
  • Oversee budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and cost control
  • Engage residents through feedback, special requests, and dining programs
