Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Experience leading a team preferred
- Exceptional communication skills
- Solid computer skills
- Enthusiasm for climbing, fitness and community-building
- Knowledge of climbing equipment and proper belay technique preferred
- Friendly demeanor, positive attitude, flexible working style, creative problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills
- Upstanding reputation in the local climbing community

Job Duties
- Accountable for the Welcome Desk and front-of-house experience ensuring friendly attentive service
- Serve as the Hospitality Lead on duty providing structure, positive reinforcement, on shift coaching and support for the Hospitality Staff
- Hire new Hospitality Staff selecting candidates that add to the positive and productive culture
- Train Hospitality Staff with knowledge, skills and mindsets to deliver exceptional service
- Coach Hospitality Staff through on shift conversations, 1:1 meetings and reviews to encourage growth and improvement
- Schedule staff adequately while ensuring schedule remains within budget
- Review and approve payroll in a timely manner to ensure accurate pay
- Become an expert on pricing, programs, policies, and climbing equipment to answer team questions
- Drive membership growth by coaching staff on membership value and best practices for conversations
- Communicate regularly with team about programs, events and policy updates
- Enforce gym policies communicating them with members and guests
- Address member/guest concerns with empathy seeking to make it right
- Ensure a clean, organized gym environment and hold team accountable for cleaning tasks
- Maintain fully stocked retail area working with team on inventory and reordering
- Identify areas needing attention beyond standard tasks and improve safety, cleanliness and experience
- Gather member and guest feedback and champion changes to improve their experience
- Work collaboratively with Gym Manager and other leaders to plan gym initiatives that add to gym life
