Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in a food service environment preferred with previous bar experience
- ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions
- strong team orientation and ability to work with various departments
- ability to work independently
- ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and understanding the primary language used by guests
- technology aptitude for working with automated inventory systems
- scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Implement operational plan for each event for all bar staff as directed
- assist in receiving product for the bar department
- assist in scheduling staff and provide management with labor reports
- ensure proper procedures are followed for requisitions, transfers, stand sheets and banks
- ensure additional revenue requests and spillage sheets are disbursed
- control and supervise supplies taken to bars from storage areas
- ensure bars are placed according to event requirements
- assist with diagrams and logistics for bar events including power needs and portable bars
- implement sales promotion programs in bars and lounges as directed
- follow Banquet Event Orders and confer with Catering Sales Manager for beverage specifications
- collect and coordinate delivery of necessary supplies and equipment to event sites
- ensure assigned work areas are clean and maintained
- conduct pre-function walk-thru of event spaces
- ensure bartenders are present, in proper uniform and well groomed
- train, delegate and assign responsibilities to bartenders
- provide consistent floor supervision during events
- monitor flow of service and maintain communication with other departments
- assign meal breaks and ensure time and attendance procedures are followed
- ensure proper sale and service of alcoholic beverages, monitoring legal age compliance
- control security of cash and liquor inventory
- assist with special guest requests and resolve guest dissatisfaction
- coordinate safe accounting and storage of leftover beverage product as prescribed by Beverage Manager
