Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to walk continuously for an eight-hour shift with breaks
- Capacity to work outdoors in all weather with provided gear
- Basic proficiency in English to communicate and report
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Willingness to interact frequently with the public and maintain a positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Hospitality or hostess background preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of the English language including speaking, reading, and writing
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with the public
- Physical ability to walk continuously for eight hours with breaks
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Be visible and be friendly to everyone in public spaces
- Greet and interact with community members and visitors continually
- Provide helpful information and recommendations about activities, attractions, and restaurants
- Professionally represent Block by Block and clients in public settings
- Use a smartphone app for ongoing reporting of normal activities and incidents
- Take action and notify authorities in case of unusual or emergency situations
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote community safety and cleanliness
