Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- some college required
- 2 years of relevant experience
- ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy at all times
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to assist patients and families physically as needed
- capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
- ability to work variable days and every third weekend
- willingness to participate in safety initiatives
- ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and hospital departments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- 2 years of relevant experience
- college degree preferred
Job Duties
- Present an excellent first impression to all customers by greeting promptly with a warm and friendly reception
- provide hospital way-finding for patients and visitors
- support patient, family, guest information needs, including appropriate hospital resources to assist in problem resolution
- maintain a clean and tidy first impression
- assist patients and families in and out of their vehicles as needed at the hospital entrances and maintain proper traffic controls
- perform service recovery and conflict resolution for unhappy guests
- round throughout the hospital and campus to locate wheelchairs and scooters and maintain appropriate volumes
- provide liaison activities in surgical and emergency departments between clinical staff and patient companions
- organize event planning activities for patient-related celebrations
- provide direction and guidance to volunteer staff and assist with their orientation and training
- work closely with Environmental Services to assure reception and patient room spaces are clean and welcoming
- manage the Lost and Found functions including identification, organization, and return or disposal of items
- actively participate in safety initiatives and complete all safety competencies
- perform other duties as assigned
