Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, food service management or related field
  • minimum five years of directly related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • ServSafe certified
  • TIPS certified
  • ability to work weekend and flexible hours
  • physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform sustained standing and bending
  • willingness to work in confined areas and variable temperature environments
  • willingness to travel to events and units
  • strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management or related field
  • minimum 5 years of directly related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • supervisory and analytical skills
  • institutional, hotel, or conference center operational experience
  • knowledge of food quality, nutrition, safety, and sustainability standards
  • knowledge of alcoholic beverage program management
  • ServSafe certification
  • TIPS certification

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for sanitation, food safety and staff safety
  • collaborate with building operations manager to address facility needs
  • ensure staff orientation and ongoing training in hospitality operations
  • manage adherence to sanitation policies and food handling procedures
  • establish and monitor inventory par levels and place purchase orders
  • develop procedures to minimize inventory waste and loss
  • oversee proper storage, tagging, and rotation of supplies
  • coordinate supplier deliveries to meet operational needs
  • ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • support enhancements for menu management and logistical software
  • assist in development and monitoring of materials management SOPs
  • provide support for catering logistics and equipment inventory
  • maintain a culture supporting employee engagement in a unionized environment
  • process payroll, scheduling and attendance
  • monitor and manage labor costs
  • perform other duties as assigned
