Job Requirements

any bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in hospitality or culinary or related field or any associate degree and six years of professional experience in hospitality or culinary or related field
ability to provide instruction in hospitality courses such as kitchen 1, kitchen 2, bake 1, and bake 2
availability for part-time teaching schedule
strong commitment to maintaining academic standards and student engagement
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
professional conduct and ethics
ability to maintain accurate academic records
willingness to perform other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

any bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in hospitality or culinary or related field or any associate degree and six years of professional experience in hospitality or culinary or related field
teaching experience at the community college level
canvas lms experience and/or quality matters training or certifications
bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred
extraordinary interpersonal skills

Job Duties

providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules
creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking
evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grades student work
meeting with students outside of class
maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics
maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas
fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member
maintaining accurate academic records
performing other related duties as assigned
