Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
- At least one month of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Proficiency in reading and writing English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- Effective communication skills in small group and individual settings
- Basic arithmetic skills including handling American currency
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time
- Manual transmission driving skills are preferred
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 9 am to 2 pm
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including money handling
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Completes and maintains ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location and damage survey
- Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles as needed
