Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
  • At least one month of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
  • Effective communication skills in small group and individual settings
  • Basic arithmetic skills including handling American currency
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time
  • Manual transmission driving skills are preferred
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 9 am to 2 pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including money handling
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Completes and maintains ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location and damage survey
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles as needed
