Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable area
  • One month of related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong customer service knowledge
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and communicate effectively
  • Physical ability to handle loading and unloading tasks
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather
  • Good driving skills including manual and parallel parking
  • Must be able to safely park and retrieve vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applied to or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers, multiply and divide by 10s and 100s, and work with American currency
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand parking rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxi arrangements, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all parking ticket information including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipts
  • Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
