Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent education
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to effectively present information
- Basic arithmetic skills with American money
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time
- Ability to understand parking rates
- Manual transmission driving skills preferred
- Able to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Greet guests within five feet using proper salutations and guest last names
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed, including opening vehicle and hotel doors
- Provide guests with directions, taxis, reservations and venue information
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures, issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys, collect claim checks before returning keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when necessary
