Job Requirements

  • must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applying to work or within commutable distance
  • high school diploma or GED
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of customer service principles
  • ability to read and write standard English
  • ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information to guests and colleagues
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American money units
  • understanding of 24 hour and military time
  • ability to understand applicable parking rates
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
  • ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
  • understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand applicable rates and fees
  • highly desirable to operate manual transmission
  • ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • acknowledges and greets guests within five feet using guest last names
  • uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • practices proper phone etiquette
  • parks and retrieves vehicles cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
  • provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and main attractions
  • delivers messages, items and guest amenities
  • shuttles guests to approved places
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • collects claim checks before issuing keys
  • completes and maintains all parking ticket information
  • calculates and collects revenue when needed
