Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs several times per day
- Must be able to walk, bend, stand, push, and reach continuously for at least an 8-hour day
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to understand written and spoken directions
- Fine motor skills adequate for using hospital cleaning equipment
- Must not have impairments from prescribed medication affecting job performance
- Must be well-groomed, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to take direction and multitask
Job Qualifications
- GED or high school diploma
- Experience working with the public
- Experience in a veterinary hospital or medical office is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital in accordance with PetCare standards
- Handle cleaning and disinfecting agents and chemicals safely
- Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as push brooms, mops, and mop buckets
- Manage laundry services including washing, drying, and stocking towels and blankets
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests from various hospital departments
- Prioritize duties and multitask based on immediate cleaning needs
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
