Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks in assigned areas to maintain cleanliness
  • Sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings, stairways, elevators, entrances/exits, horizontal surfaces, bathrooms, unit common areas, utility rooms, and patient rooms
  • Execute cleaning tasks according to infection control policies using proper tools and techniques
  • Respect patients and their families by maintaining personal dignity and values while performing cleaning duties
  • Adapt to assignment changes as required by Environmental Services Leadership to meet hospital needs
  • Identify opportunities for improving cleanliness and efficiency
  • Maintain a safe environment by following body mechanics and lifting techniques
