Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 1 year environmental services or housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks including lifting and use of cleaning equipment
  • Availability to work PRN (as needed) shifts
  • Ability to follow strict Infection Control policies
  • Ability to work cooperatively with hospital staff and patients
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to follow Infection Control policies and proper cleaning procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills and a respectful approach to patient care
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work assignments
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment

Job Duties

  • Perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks in assigned areas
  • Sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings, stairways, elevators, entrances/exits, horizontal surfaces, bathrooms, unit common areas, utility rooms, and patient rooms
  • Execute cleaning tasks following Infection Control policies
  • Use proper tools, body mechanics, and lifting techniques
  • Show respect for patients' personal dignity and values during cleaning duties
  • Pursue opportunities for improvement and demonstrate flexibility with assignments
  • Adapt to changing assigned areas as needed according to hospital requirements
