Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Pass criminal background check and drug screen
- One to three months related experience or equivalent education and training
- Knowledge of computer basics required
- Willingness and ability to assist others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays including select shifts with bonus pay
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Knowledge of telephones, codes, alarms, two-way radios, disaster phone, fire panel and surveillance systems
- Ability to read, speak and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Basic computer skills and general typing ability
- Ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm in stressful situations
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, patients, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests and patients with professionalism and friendliness
- Answer the telephone promptly and politely using standard greeting
- Assist visitors with directions, information and other inquiries
- Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Ensure patient and business confidentiality is maintained at all times
- Report all accidents and incidents observed on shift to appropriate coordinator or manager immediately
- Follow hospital disaster codes and response plans
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly
- Monitor and respond to emergencies on a priority basis
