Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • Minimum five years of commercial food preparation experience
  • Preferred experience in hospital food service
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Must comply with sanitation and safety standards
  • Good communication skills
  • Availability to work full-time

Job Duties

  • Prepare patient and cafeteria food service according to local, state, and federal standards
  • Adhere to sanitation policies required by regulatory authorities
  • Follow recipes and plan menus to ensure nutritional standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in food preparation areas
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet patient dietary needs
  • Monitor and stock food supplies
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance food service skills
