Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to read and write English
  • minimum five years commercial food preparation experience
  • hospital food service experience preferred
  • willingness to adhere to sanitation policies
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and menus
  • compliance with local, state, and federal food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare patient and cafeteria food services properly as required by local, state, and federal standards
  • adhere to sanitation policies mandated by local, state, and federal guidelines
  • ensure all food preparation meets hospital and regulatory safety standards
  • follow recipes and menu plans accurately
  • maintain cleanliness in food prep areas
  • cooperate with kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food service
  • comply with all health and safety regulations
