Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Competence in computer literacy including keyboard facility, data entry, knowledge of email, use of hospital intranet
  • Experience with multiple telephone lines and telephone etiquette
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills both in person and on the telephone
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively under direct supervision

Job Duties

  • Support the patient care activities of the nursing unit through timely greeting and check-in of arriving patients
  • Coordinate activities with unit staff and other departments
  • Demonstrate clear, concise, accurate and timely communications with members of the health care team, patients, families and visitors
  • Perform service functions including triaging, answering calls
  • Assist with concerns and use of MyWall
  • Work under direct supervision
  • Incorporate NYULH Core Values in all aspects of job performance
