Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of employment or eligible to obtain
- minimum one year RN experience in hospice, home health, ICU, oncology, geriatrics, or related nursing fields
- valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- CPR certification required
- ability to provide compassionate care in diverse settings
- strong communication and critical thinking skills
- compliant with state-specific nursing requirements
- willingness to maintain drug-free workplace adherence
Job Qualifications

- skilled at providing care in diverse settings such as private homes and facilities
- strong communication and critical thinking skills for emotionally sensitive situations
- valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- CPR certification
- preferred experience in hospital settings including Med-Surg, ICU, ER, PACU, telemetry, cardiac
- experience in admissions, wound care, float pool, or travel nursing
- knowledge of terminally ill patient care or serious illness support
Job Duties
- Be the primary point of contact for patients and families, guiding them through their hospice journey
- deliver and document skilled, hands-on nursing care based on individualized Plans of Care
- perform initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor and adjust care
- collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, LPNs, CNAs, social workers, and chaplains
- provide emotional, physical, and spiritual support to patients and loved ones
- teach caregivers practical care skills and offer emotional reassurance
- communicate patient condition updates to the care team ensuring timely interventions
- maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control and compliance standards
- support quality improvement and scheduling initiatives to ensure compassionate, efficient care
- educate patients and families about medication administration, hospice philosophy, symptom and pain management, and end-of-life expectations
