Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of general office experience and data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette
  • ability to communicate clearly, using good grammar
  • strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • ability to type 45 to 50 WPM and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
  • good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • strong knowledge in medical terminology

Job Duties

  • assist in performing receptionist duties
  • assist in managing incoming and outgoing mail
  • process and enter daily reports of visits, flow notes, and medical supplies
  • establish and maintain client medical records in accordance with agency policy and procedure
  • order, receive, and stock medical supplies and maintain inventory control in accordance with established agency policy and procedure
  • assist in performing cross-training
  • implement infection and exposure control measures in accordance with the agency exposure control plan
  • perform miscellaneous clerical functions in an accurate and timely manner
