Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous knowledge of event planning and coordination
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Must complete DPS criminal background check permission form
- Must submit a resume with application
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in event planning or coordinating
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of customer service and professionalism
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new booking and event design software
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building with clients and vendors
Job Duties
- Give tours of the venue to prospective renters and clients during the planning process
- Point of contact for renters after booking with contract and deposit completed
- Hold meetings with renters to explain venue pricing and policies
- Serve as liaison between renter and Event Staff Supervisor for event setup and materials
- Work closely with Event Staff to meet all event needs
- Review and enforce venue policies during events
- Attend and assist during move-in, event, and move-out to ensure smooth operations
- Inspect event space cleanliness and facility functionality
- Coordinate with facilities team to resolve issues promptly
- Ensure all event requirements like insurance, security, and vendor approvals are obtained
- Manage vendor coordination for kitchen, bars, and concession stands
- Perform post-event client meetings and finalize billing and reports
- Communicate added charges and event fees to clients and booking manager
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Horseshoe Director
