Job Requirements

  • Regularly work a full-time schedule with consistent, predictable attendance
  • Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Maintain valid Class C driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Demonstrate ability to work different or extended shifts
  • Ability to assist in timely processing of HR and payroll paperwork
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures
  • Commitment to program mission and equity and inclusion principles

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in food service management or related field, or comparable combination of education and experience
  • One to three years supervisory or management experience in food service operations, preferably in social services or nonprofit organizations
  • Valid Class C driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record
  • ServSafe certification obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained continuously
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of Hope House kitchen operations
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff for effective service delivery
  • Coordinate volunteer education and manage volunteer relations
  • Execute meal service and pantry programming including food pick-up and donation processing
  • Ensure compliance with all Preble Street policies and procedures
  • Assist in program development, evaluation, resource and systems development
  • Participate in community relations and support the Program Director
