Job Requirements

  • At least high school diploma
  • Minimum 5-6 years progressive hotel experience
  • Ability to work long hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Effective listening and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Participate in required meetings and management coverage
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • High personal grooming standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5-6 years progressive experience in a hotel
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify guest and employee concerns
  • Multi-task and prioritize department functions
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions
  • Participate in management on duty coverage

  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex data

Job Duties

  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
  • Tour operating departments daily and make adjustments with department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs timely
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
  • Ensure department heads maintain budget productivity and accounting procedures
  • Develop managers through competency and corporate training
  • Participate in management on duty coverage as scheduled
  • Monitor and mentor management trainees
  • Adhere to company policies and train new managers
  • Assist in hotel budget processes
  • Ensure service standards training and compliance across departments
  • Foster a positive team environment focused on guest satisfaction
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms with housekeeping and maintenance
  • Manage invoice processing and financial document submissions
  • Oversee property cleanliness and maintenance programs
  • Ensure employee attentiveness and efficiency with guests and colleagues
  • Forecast financial positions using data analysis
  • Conduct management interviews and enforce hiring standards
  • Interview final management candidates
  • Perform executive committee performance appraisals and ensure compliance
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management staff
  • Perform duties as requested by senior regional leadership
  • Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
  • Engage with clients on property to support sales
  • Be present in public areas to assist guests during peak times
  • Manage hotel safe security and conduct audits
  • Lead monthly credit meetings and oversee credit and collection policies
