Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • At least one year customer service experience preferred
  • Must have excellent listening skills
  • Must ensure a teamwork environment
  • Must have basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to interact effectively and politely with guests and associates
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Must be able to stand for long periods with intermittent walking and stair climbing
  • Must be able to lift frequently up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds, rarely up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently
  • Ability to kneel or crawl occasionally and climb ladders infrequently
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and environments with exposure to chemicals and dust
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements constantly and pushing, pulling, squeezing and overhead reaching frequently

Job Duties

  • Maintains cleanliness of resort property including homes, guest rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas
  • Cleans and sanitizes all designated areas to Sunriver Resort standards
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues and reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
  • Acts responsibly towards all company property, supplies and equipment
  • Changes soiled linens on beds and makes beds according to resort protocol
  • Keeps housekeeping caddy clean, stocked and orderly
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment
  • Empties wastebaskets, cleans ashtrays, and transports trash to disposal
  • Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom linens
  • Dusts window blinds
  • Follows lost and found procedures with respect for guest property
  • Washes windows, walls, ceilings, woodwork, waxing and polishing as needed
  • Operates mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers and buffers
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily
  • Reports needed repairs to supervisor promptly
  • Reports to work on time with accurate time records
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome and farewell to guests using guest names and maintaining eye contact
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of resort amenities and events
  • Interacts professionally with resort staff and supports other departments
  • Upsells resort services and amenities to guests
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance consistent with dress code
  • Communicates pertinent information to housekeeping team
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
