Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or custodial experience
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physical capability to lift 10 to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle guest interactions professionally
  • Adherence to OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards
  • Willingness to follow resort dress code and maintain professional appearance
  • Commitment to teamwork and positive work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • At least one year customer service experience preferred
  • Must have excellent listening skills
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Must have basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with guests and associates
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
  • Must be able to stand throughout the day with intermittent walking and stair climbing
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally and rarely 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently
  • must be able to kneel or crawl occasionally and infrequently climb ladders
  • Must be able to work in warm or cold environments including exposure to chemicals and dust
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements constantly, including pushing, pulling, squeezing and overhead reaching frequently

Job Duties

  • Maintains cleanliness of resort property
  • Cleans homes, guest rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas
  • Cleans and sanitizes all designated areas to Sunriver Resort standards
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues and reports incidents to supervisor
  • Acts responsibly towards all company property, supplies and equipment
  • Changes soiled linens on beds and makes beds following resort protocol
  • Keeps housekeeping caddy clean, stocked and orderly
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment
  • Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal
  • Replenishes supplies like drinking glasses, linens, and bathroom items
  • Dusts window blinds
  • Follows lost and found procedures respecting guest property
  • Washes windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as needed
  • Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums and buffers
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily
  • Reports needed repairs immediately to supervisor
  • Reports to work on time and maintains accurate time records
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome and farewell to guests
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of resort amenities and events
  • Interacts professionally with resort staff and assists other departments
  • Upsells resort services and amenities to guests
  • Maintains professional demeanor and attitude
  • Communicates pertinent information to housekeeping team
  • Maintains professional appearance and follows dress code
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues
  • Performs other duties as assigned
