Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Ability to maintain vehicle in safe working condition
- Ability to adhere to dress code and present professionally
- Ability to lift and carry meal carriers safely
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills for positive participant interaction
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in delivery driving or food service roles is beneficial
- Ability to interact courteously and professionally with diverse populations
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety
- Strong time management skills to follow delivery routes efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to report issues and interact with team members
- Understanding of and commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Pick up and deliver home delivered meals in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and good working order with enough fuel
- Present on time with proper hygiene and dress code, wearing ID badge
- Check route sheets and hot and cold carriers for accuracy before leaving the kitchen
- Follow the route starting with the furthest delivery working back to base
- Interact professionally and courteously with participants
- Follow all traffic laws and take responsibility for any citations
- Display the issued placard on dashboard
- Listen and report participant comments or complaints to food service manager
- Keep meal carriers closed until arrival at destination
- Alert participants of arrival by ringing bell or knocking loud
- Return to kitchen with carriers, route sheets, and undelivered meals after deliveries
- Display outstanding customer service according to ACE model
- Adhere to all company policies and participate in departmental meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned
