- adherence to traffic laws
- submission of true and attested driving record
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- high school diploma or GED
- some driving experience preferred
- ability to maintain accurate delivery records
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Pick up and deliver home delivered meals in a timely, professional, and safe manner
- collaborate with food service department for timely delivery within catchment areas
- maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure the vehicle is in good working order with sufficient fuel
- present on time with proper personal hygiene, following dress code and wearing ID badge
- verify route sheets, hot and cold carriers for accuracy before leaving kitchen
- plan delivery route starting with the furthest stop and mark delivery times next to participant's name
- interact with participants courteously, patiently, and professionally
- comply with all traffic laws and accept responsibility for any driving citations or parking tickets
- display NeighborHealth-issued placard on dashboard during deliveries
- report all participant comments or complaints to food service manager
- keep meal carriers closed and meals inside until reaching destination
