Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid Indiana driver’s license
- valid automobile insurance
- ability to provide CPR and First Aid or willingness to obtain
- one-year supervisory experience preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to work flexible hours including overtime and on-call
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, kneeling
- ability to operate standard office equipment
- strong communication and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- One-year supervisory experience working with developmentally, intellectually and/or physically disabled individuals preferred
- valid Indiana driver’s license
- valid automobile insurance
- CPR and First Aid certification (provided if not acquired)
- proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- ability to use PC, calculator, copier, fax machine, and scanner
- exceptional coaching and mentoring skills
- ability to make wise decisions under stressful circumstances
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, and direct the care of clients
- support related to outcomes and supervise individuals to ensure adherence to person-centered plans
- monitor client care activities of direct support staff
- review Individual Support Plans and participate in quality improvement
- assist with staffing schedules and levels in coordination with the Program Manager
- prevent client abuse by adhering to policies and reporting requirements
- complete administrative documentation including client activity logs
- assure safe operation of household equipment through routine monitoring
- plan and organize daily client activities
- provide direct client care including transportation and household tasks
- oversee individuals’ finances and report any anomalies
- maintain and schedule medical appointments
- perform other duties as assigned
