Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one-year supervisory experience preferred
  • valid Indiana Driver’s License required
  • valid automobile insurance required
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to work flexible hours including overtime
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and office equipment
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to respond to emergencies promptly
  • commitment to client safety and abuse prevention

Job Qualifications

  • One-year supervisory experience working with developmentally, intellectually and/or physically disabled individuals preferred
  • valid Indiana Driver’s License
  • valid automobile insurance
  • CPR and First Aid certification (provided if not already acquired)
  • ability to use educated and intuitive judgment
  • strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • knowledge of operation of PC, calculator, copier, fax machine, and scanner
  • ability to work in demanding environments
  • capacity to make wise decisions under stressful circumstances

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and direct the care of clients
  • support related to outcomes and the support and supervision of individuals monitoring adherence to person-centered plans
  • monitor client care activities of direct support staff
  • monitor Individual Support Plans and delivery of client care plans ensuring standards of care are met
  • assist with determining staffing schedules and levels in coordination with Program Manager
  • assure staffing patterns adhere to team recommendations and PAWS Allocation
  • prevent client abuse by following policies and mandatory reporting
  • complete administrative and clerical documentation including reviewing daily logs and notes
  • assure safe operation of all equipment by completing routine site monitoring reports
  • plan and organize daily activities per Individual Support Plan
  • provide direct client care including transportation and household management
  • oversee individuals' finances and report any financial improprieties
  • maintain and schedule medical appointments and complete all follow-ups
  • perform other duties as assigned
