Job Requirements

  • Three or more years of recent related hospitality or restaurant experience
  • Two years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Food Handler's certification
  • Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training within 3-6 months of employment
  • Knowledge of safety, workers compensation, employment laws, and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act
  • Ability to perform physical duties including standing for entire shifts, lifting up to 30 pounds, and working in confined, slippery environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including additional hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated hospitality or restaurant management experience, preferably within a gaming environment
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with employees in restaurant operations
  • Demonstrated experience in managing employees
  • Demonstrated ability to perform within specific deadlines and under pressure
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work
  • Three or more years of related hospitality or restaurant experience
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience, preferably within a gaming environment
  • Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training within 3-6 months
  • Food Handler's certification required
  • Knowledge of laws related to safety, workers compensation, employment, and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act
  • Excellent customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Supervises and manages Home Cafe operations
  • Acts as a backup to Home Cafe staff, acting as a bus person, host or hostess, wait person, dishwasher, cook, and prep cook when needed
  • Ensures quality services to guests and employees
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations with all guests and employees
  • Assists in supervision of restaurant programs for compliance with safety and employment laws, and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act
  • Manages and develops an effective staff by assisting and making recommendations in hiring, training, scheduling, rewarding and disciplining staff
  • Conducts performance reviews
  • Monitors that all assigned employees have reported to work and makes schedule adjustments for proper coverage
  • Assures that the Home Cafe is ready for business including ensuring computers are working properly, wait station is prepared, food is properly stored and of standard quality
  • Ensures all employees wear and maintain all uniforms properly, including nametags
  • Ensures employees are informed of company and department policies and procedures
  • Reviews and authorizes employee timecards for payroll processing
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings and provides clarification and guidance on restaurant issues, goals, and objectives
  • Assists to anticipate, reduce, or eliminate complaints from guests
  • Assists with monthly inventory reconciliation and paperwork
  • Alerts supervisor of concerns regarding food and beverage quality, selection, and variety
  • Follows established security protocols to ensure a safe work environment
  • Maintains alertness for all responsibilities and customer satisfaction
  • Performs other duties and special projects as directed
