Job Requirements

  • Food manager certification from prior work experience or complete Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to operate various machines, tools, and equipment
  • Visual acuity to ensure safety and accuracy
  • Ability to remain stationary for minimum 3 hours
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop and kneel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and lift 3 pounds repetitively to shoulder height
  • Ability to grasp, finger and reach
  • Ability to express or exchange information verbally

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience managing a fast paced, high volume, customer service-oriented business preferably in food service or retail
  • Proven experience managing financial performance including P&L oversight
  • Ability to create an inclusive and dynamic work environment
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proactive self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train and retain a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Provide frontline leadership to all team members
  • Manage the financial health of the store including P&L oversight
  • Establish and cultivate a store culture aligned with company core values
  • Train, develop and motivate team members for professional growth
  • Set goals, manage performance, and hold team accountable for results
  • Partner with district recruiter to attract and retain high-performing diverse talent
  • Engage directly with customers and employees to inspire and be part of the experience
